The National Archives have set a deadline of 2013 to upgrade PWDRO’s facilities, or its statutory records will be removed.
The staff at PWDRO keep the archives in suitable conditions within the building. The building is unsuitable, situated next to a tyre depot (an obvious fire hazard), in an industrial area, with very limited, cramped facilities for both visitors and staff.
